About Charlotte
Flames & Acid - The mad scientist feeling!
I have been creating jewellery since I can remember, as a lucky child with endless bead collections!
I moved into silversmithing around 18 years ago learning, training, researching & lots of melted mistakes. There are many different processes which involve flames, acid, fine saws, and many other specific tools - including a dentist drill. I love getting out the lab coat & safety glasses which are familiar from my science background.
I love learning new techniques as it is always a great challenge, requires lots of patience and can be immensely satisfying (also frustrating!) especially when there is a scented candle, hot coffee, acoustic music & no plan. I love to see where the creative energy flows.
My husband is not allowed to borrow my tools - but some times his are useful!
The tool addiction is very real...
My Love Language Xo
Creating & giving handmade treasures is definitely my love language.
It all started at a young age when our very creative & amazing mum, encouraged & supported us to create all our Grandparents gifts. I have never stopped! I much prefer to give something personal that I have created with my hands - to someone to show my love.
My lucky sisters are adorned with beautiful Rose Gold Jewellery. I love seeing them cherish the style & unique meanings behind each beautiful piece - even their daughters are spoiled with their own Birth flower Pendants!
I have been so honoured to create my brother's 'wife-to-be' commitment ring and his stunning Rose Gold wedding band.
I literally do a happy dance (& maybe even a squeal) when an order is placed and I get to create something beautiful to be cherished. Xo
